Answer:
Make sure to try to shrink your body as much as possible, being small makes you less intimidating and will for sure help you approach your cat. When you have gotten close enough to your cat try to pet it as a greeting, make sure to pat it near the head because cats greet each other in the same way. If you can't get close enough you can give your cat some wet food and pet it while it's eating. Now when you pick up your cat you want to start by putting your first hand gripping behind their front legs, make sure it also partially supports their chest. Now use  your second hand to scoop the cat up from the two back legs to pick it up. Comment down below if this worked or not!
